3 Stylish Solutions For Storing Your Makeup

Often considered an oasis from your family, work, and household chores, your bathroom should be clean and appealing. While you may scrub your toilets and mop the floors regularly, you should also keep your bathroom organized. Not only will this help you find important items, but an organized space can reduce stress, ease depression, and even boost your productivity. Unfortunately, organizing your makeup can be challenging due to all the different products you most likely have. With these simple solutions, you can organize your makeup in a stylish, functional manner.

Magnetic Board

Organizing your makeup on a magnetic board has become popular due to its convenience and overall look. In addition, this storage solution is easy to create since all you need is a magnetic board, piece of fabric, small magnets, and a hot glue gun.

To get started, allow your glue gun to heat up. Cut a piece of fabric to fit around the front of your magnetic board. Choose a fabric that complements the rest of your bathroom décor. For an affordable solution, consider purchasing a discounted fabric shower curtain to cut and use as your board cover.

Secure small magnets on the back of your most-used makeup products using the hot glue. Allow the glue to dry for a few minutes. Hang the magnetic board next to your vanity mirror since this is the area you most likely will be applying your makeup.

Mason Jar Organizer

Creating a mason jar organizer is another great way to store your makeup products and tools on the wall, which will free up space on your countertops and in your drawers. Using mason jars and a piece of reclaimed wood also adds a rustic touch to your bathroom décor.

Find an old wood board and purchase a few mason jars. Choose a board large enough to hold the right amount of jars that you will need to store your products.

Screw a picture-hanging bracket on the back of your board. This will allow you to hang the organizer on a wall. Then, use your drill to secure metal hose clamps onto the board. Each hose clamp will be used to secure a mason jar in place, so be sure to space out the clamps evenly across the board. Adjust the clamps to ensure they are wide enough to hold the mouth of the mason jar. Finally, place the mason jars into the clamps and tighten the screws to hold the jars in place.

Fill jars with your favorite makeup products and accessories such as lipsticks, eyeliners, mascara, concealers, tweezers, cotton swabs, cotton balls, and makeup brushes.

Drawer Organizers

If you prefer to store makeup in a more hidden manner, consider using bins, baskets, and trays in the drawers. Fortunately, there are numerous sizes and shapes of drawer organizers that will be perfectly suited to storing your makeup products and tools. Visit your local dollar store or discount retailer to search for affordable baskets and trays that can be used inside your drawers. Purchase a variety of shapes and sizes to arrange and fill up an entire drawer in your bathroom.

Place Velcro stickers on the bottom of your drawer and organizer bins. These stickers will allow you to secure the bins and baskets in place so they do not move around when opening and closing the drawer. The Velcro option allows you to easily remove the bin without damaging your actual drawer.

Store eye products together in one bin and lip products in another bin. Use longer bins to hold your makeup brushes and a larger bin to hold powder, foundation, blush, and bronzers.

For a small investment in money and time, you can organize the numerous makeup products and supplies in your bathroom and incorporate different bathroom accessories to revitalize the space.
